I know a lot of people misunderstand what a monotype is, but, simply put, it is a print (from printmaking) that is a one-off production. Monotypes have been called the "painterly printmaking" process, but there are lots of ways to make stunning monotypes for everyone.

The Printmaking Sisters are a pair of teachers who lead classes in Florence every year at a famous historical printmaking studio. They travel from Australia yearly with a bunch of students from all over the world, newbies and experienced learners!

Here is a monotype practice they recommend that is simpler to do from home: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TenPrintmakingTips/permalink/2764641503566551/
