Yes, you read that right! We are going to chat about fish rubbings, more specifically, fish prints. As we progress through this month, we would like to share some fun printmaking activities to do ... we have Print Day in May (first Saturday in May) and we would like to invite all the kids (and adults) out there to try your hand at a little printmaking.
Still stuck in inside...but SO much going on. Today, a little fun reading.
Here's a link from the Met that talks about Gyotaku.
And a cool article from the Smithsonian: https://ocean.si.edu/conservation/get-involved/educational-uses-gyotaku-or-fish-printing

We hope to be sharing some of our fish prints with you later. Needless to say, there is a less messy way to do this with plastic fish to get some practice (and sometimes other fun methods which we will share another day).
