Join us for our first First Saturday of the new year! Fire in Ice is always a fun day full of family friendly activities throughout Downtown Frederick and we hope you will add FBAC to your list of stops for the day. Here is what we have going on:

Print your own Fire in Ice Print on the Hand Iron Press

Print your own snowflake print on the Vandercooks**

Linocut printing demonstration by Judith Kornett (10am-1pm)

Steel plate printing demonstration by Mike Bean (10am-4pm)

Lithography demonstration by Scip Barnhart (10am-4pm)

Shout Mouse Press: "The Light Looks Like Me" talk and readings (3-4pm)

**Help us finish our snowflake print this Saturday (February 7th) at Fire in Ice.

Designed by Eric Groff, this snowflake was printed using a rotary angle chase, which allows for a printing form to be rotated to any angle in the bed of the press. Eric hand picked 11 cuts from our collection and set the form so that each rotation would create a new arm of the snowflake. This is a 4 color print reflecting the colors of fire and ice; 7 runs have already been printed and you get to print the final color!

This print activity will be running all day, 10am - 4pm; we hope to see you there!
