Thinking Outside  the Box- a Different Approach to Block Printing

Learn to plan and create a printable linoleum block that you will use to create a multi-color work of art using a variety of traditional and non-traditional approaches. Explore cut-and-paste and collage techniques to create a truly mixed media piece.

Learn the basics of letterpress printing and design while you create your own handmade Halloween decorations! Old school style meets modern tech in this fun hands-on experience for everyone ages 8 and up!

The event will run from 6-9 with class sessions running from 6-7 and 7:30-8:30, with time for pie and socializing from 7-7:30. The studio will be open until 9 for those that want to continue printing. Decorations will be ready to take home that night.

Painted and Sewn Handmade Books

Make 2 sewn books! Combine free form painting, folded pages and pamphlet stitches to make your unique books. There is even a clever slot-and-tab closure. Class kits can be purchased through the FBAC store or you can supply your own materials.
